Homemade Dinner Rolls
These dinner rolls are scrumptiously fluffy & buttery.
Ingredients
- 2 cups warm milk almond and soy work great – I like ones with a touch of vanilla
- 3 Tbsp Caputo Italian Yeast
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 ½ tsp salt
- 7 Tbsp salted butter softened
- 2 Large Eggs
- 6 ½ - 7 ½ cups of Manny’s Choice Flour
- 1/4 cup melted butter for topping
Instructions
- Combine and mix milk, yeast, sugar, salt, butter and eggs with stand mixer
- Add 5 ½ - 6 cups of flour.
- Using a stand mixer: Use a dough hook, turn on low speed till flour starts to incorporate, increase the speed to medium, slowly add ½ cup at a time till the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl. The final dough should be a little soft and sticky.
- Lightly grease a mixing bowl with Olive Oil. Place dough in bowl. Cover with a towel or plastic and let rise for 90 minutes.
- Lightly grease a baking sheet with olive oil. Punch down the dough, form into 24 rolls and align on baking sheet.
- Cover and let rise 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Bake rolls for 12-14 minutes till lightly browned.
- Brush lightly with melted butter
- Let rest for 15 minutes then transfer to cooling rack
- Enjoy!
- Hints:
- Yeast – substitute 3 Tbsp of American Dry Active Yeast
- Activate by combining yeast, sugar and milk, mix and let stand till bubbles rise, about 10 minutes
