Manny’s Choice Caramel Brownies

Ingredients
  

Brownies

  • 1 bag Manny's Choice Brownie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs

Homemade Caramel Sauce

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 6 tbsps. butter
  • 1 1/2 tsps. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (warmed)

Instructions
 

  • Prep Brownies
    ·      Pour Manny’s Choice Brownie Mix into a large bowl
    ·      Add butter, eggs and mix
    ·      Scrape the brownie batter into a greased 8×8 pan
    ·      Bake brownies according to package instructions
  • Homemade Caramel Sauce
    ·      Add sugar to a saucepan and spread out evenly
    ·      Pour the water over the sugar and let it sit for a minute
    ·      Turn the pan onto a medium-low heat and let the sugar dissolve without stirring
    ·      Once sugar is clear, bring to a simmer on medium heat
    ·      Cook caramel, swirling occasionally for 5-8minutes
    ·      Once caramel is honey colored, turn to medium-low
    ·      Whisk in the cubes of butter until melted, then add in your warm cream
    ·      Continue whisking until combined and take off the heat to add the vanilla and salt
    ·      Once cooled a little, transfer to a mason jar to finish cooling the rest of the way
  • Finish Brownies
    ·      Take Brownies out of the oven to cool
    ·      Once cooled drizzle your caramel sauce over the top, slice and serve
    ·      You can store any extra caramel sauce in your fridge for up to two weeks
