Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/2 cups Manny’s Choice Flour all-purpose divided
  • 1 packet instant yeast 2 1/4 teaspoons
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried basil optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning optional
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil + additional
  • 3/4 cup warm water

Instructions
 

  • Make the Dough:
    ·      Combine 1 cup Manny’s Choice Flour (125 g), instant yeast, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. If desired, add garlic powder, Italian seasoning and dried basil at this point as well.
    ·      Add olive oil and warm water, stir very well.
    ·      Gradually add another 1 cup Manny’s Choice Flour (125 g). Add additional Manny’s Choice Flour as needed, stirring until the dough is forming a cohesive, smooth ball and is beginning to pull away from the sides of the bowl.
  • Let the Dough Rise:
    ·      In a large bowl drizzle generously with olive oil and coat the sides.
    ·      Lightly dust your hands with Manny’s Choice Flour and form the pizza dough into a round ball, then transfer to the olive-oil-brushed bowl. Roll the pizza dough in the bowl until it is coated, then cover tightly and place in a warm place.
    ·      Allow dough to rise for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
    ·      Preheat oven to 450°F.
  • Bake the Pizza:
    ·      Once dough has risen, gently punch down and transfer to a surface lightly dusted with Manny’s Choice Flour and knead briefly until smooth (about 3–5 times).
    ·      Use either your hands or a rolling pin to work the dough into 12" circle.
    ·      Transfer dough to lightly oiled pizza pan and shape edges.
    ·      Drizzle additional olive oil over top and brush to cover. Add garlic for additional flavor.
    ·      Use fork to poke holes over center.
    ·      Add desired toppings and bake for 13–15 minutes at 450°F or until golden brown. Slice and serve.
