Manny’s Choice Cheesy Biscuits

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups Manny’s Choice Flour
  • 1 ¾ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ cup Gruyere Cheese
  • ¼ cup Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 stick of butter
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup whole milk

Instructions
 

  • Make the Dough: First, whisk the flour, baking powder, onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Next, take 7 tablespoons of cold butter and cut into small equal pieces. Then, sprinkle the butter into the flour mixture and using your fingers or a pastry cutter, cut the butter into the flour until it is combined and is a crumb-like texture. Finally, mix in the shredded cheese and milk to finish the dough.
  • Bake Biscuits: First, preheat the oven to 400˚F. Next, line a baking pan with parchment paper. Then, take the biscuit dough and place 3 tbsps. of dough onto the baking sheet. Repeat until dough is gone, spacing the biscuits at least 1 inch apart. Lastly, bake for 12-15 minutes.
  • Top the Biscuits: First, take the remaining tablespoon of butter and melt it. Next, when the biscuits come straight out of the oven, brush the top of them with all the butter. Finally, best when served war.
