Manny’s Choice Cheddar Biscuits

These biscuits are a perfect complement to roasted chicken or a hearty soup. Your guest will be asking for seconds! Enjoy!

  • 2 cups Manny’s Choice Organic Flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 2/3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley leaves
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, garlic powder, salt and cayenne pepper in a large bowl. Using another bowl, whisk together buttermilk and butter. Pour mixture over dry ingredients and blend lightly. Gently fold in cheese.

  3. Using a ¼ cup measure, scoop the batter onto the baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden

  4. Whisk together butter, parsley and garlic powder in a bowl and brush on top of the warm biscuits.
