Blackberry Pie

Crumble top pie with fresh picked Oregon blackberries.

Ingredients

For Crust:

For Filling:

  • 4 C. berries
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 1/4 C. flour
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp clove
  • 2 tbsp butter reserve for dotting

Instructions

Crust:

  • Mix: flour, salt, sugar, oil, and milk.
  • Reserve 1 C of this mixture for topping
  • Press the remainder of crust mixture into 8X8 pie pan.
  • Preheat oven to 400.

Filling:

  • Mix berries and dry ingredients thoroughly but gently.
  • Put into prepared crust in the pie pan.
  • Top with butter.
  • Sprinkle reserved crust mixture over the top ( I added about 1/3 cup of brown sugar to the sprinkle topping)
  • Bake for 40 - 50 minutes
